SUPPLIERS DATABASE FUNCTIONALITY

Updated: 2012/02/28

In August 2010, KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Treasury implemented a new provincial supplier’s database system in order to address several shortcomings of the previous system as raised by the respective departments. Consequently, all registered suppliers were requested to re-register with effect from 01 May 2010 by completing the newly revised version of the ZNT31 application form dated May 2010.

This application is available for downloading on this website. In September 2010 the new suppliers database system was installed and the processing of applications commenced.

In July 2011, departments were notified that the old suppliers’ database system is to be discontinued with effect from 01 December 2011. This period was extended to the 31st March 2012, via correspondence dated 06th February 2012 which was issued to all departments. The previous (old) suppliers database numbers which ended in the post-fix ZNT, will therefore no longer be valid from 01 April 2012.

The new suppliers database number will appear as follows KZNX000. The alphabetical characters KZN will be followed by a system generated alphabetical or numerical value as represented by the X, followed by an incremental numerical value not less than three (3) digits, as represented by the 000.

Departments are to ensure that all existing and regularly utilized suppliers have applied for re-registration onto the new provincial suppliers’ database system.
